MACY’S CALIFORNIA TRIFECTA SURF SERIES PRESENTED
BY JEEP:
With
its long running history, the Newport Pro has always been an important
part of California pro surfing. The event has built further on
that pedigree by becoming the second stop in the Macy’s
California Trifecta Surf Series presented by Jeep. The Trifecta,
which unites the Body Glove Surfbout presented by Adio, the NB
Pro presented by Jeep and the O’Neill Cold Water Classic
presented by Jeep under a common banner, offers a $33,333 prize
purse to any professional male surfer who manages to place first
in all three events. This huge step towards strengthening American
pro surfing is unique among other three-event series because it
also offers a $10,000 cash prize to the overall points-winner,
$3,500 for second, and $1,500 to third if no single surfer wins
all three contests. Click for more info…
