SURFER MAGAZINE ANNOUNCES VIDEO NOMINEES FOR
THE 2007 SURFER POLL & VIDEO AWARDS PRESENTED BY SUZUKI AUTO

SURFER Magazine, the industry-leading
publication, today announced the video award nominees for the 35th
annual Surfer Poll & Video Awards presented by Suzuki Auto. Additional
announcements were also made about the event’s live webcast, which will be
broadcast at
www.surferpoll.net,
and the confirmation of special guest presenter pro skater Jake Brown, best
known for his recent death-defying five-story fall from the X Games Mega Ramp.
Also confirmed today was the announcement that perennial surf star Benji
Weatherly will co-host the Video Awards portion of the evening along with host
Sal Masekela. Bringing a comedic perspective and decades of personal video
experience and appearances, Weatherly’s presence on stage is sure to add yet
another dimension to an evening already layered with both entertainment and
prestige.
The
five nominees for the coveted “Movie Of The Year” honor are Mixed Tape,
Young Guns 3,
Down The Barrel, Sipping Jetstreams, and Trilogy. The
nominees in the following categories have also been finalized and the winners
will be revealed the night of the show:

from 7-10 p.m. The webcast, co-hosted by sharp-witted Koa Smith and pro surfer
turned commentator Jody Nelson, will include red carpet arrivals and interviews,
behind-the-scenes footage, and the complete awards show.
The Surfer Poll and Video Awards will take place
on September 11, 2007, at The Grove of Anaheim. Attendance is by invitation
only, and the event will be covered exclusively on

www.surferpoll.net
and broadcast for the fifth consecutive year on FUEL TV on October 22 at 8 p.m.
