SLATER APPEARANCE FEE
Keeping Kelly On Tour; Webcast Review; Mundaka Cancelled

Hawaiian Style Swell Muscles California Coast

As a grom in the early '80s, I remember my crew would be bummed if the local news picked up on a swell event hammering the coast. But now, of course, we live in a forecasting-for-dollars era. There is a "swell" of some sort each and every day.

OPENING DAY
Quiksilver Pro Fires on Day One

It promised plenty...and while the surf delivered little, the surfing delivered a lot. Colin Dwyer Skips School, Gets Famous

Seventeen-year-old Pacifica native, Colin Dwyer, took a page from Bueller's book by charging twenty-foot Mavericks monsters while his brethren's No. 2 pencils bubbled in Scantrons and doodled notebook nostalgia.
