It’s going good. The guys are amazingly strong. At this point they all seem like they have a second wind; they’re definitely in it for the full distance.

We’re going through Kansas right now, in between Pratt and Maize, just west of Wichita, and today was the hottest day thus far. The guys are doing well, doing shorter rotations at half an hour at a time, staying hydrated as it got up to 98 degrees today. It’s back down to 94 now, so at least it cooled off a bit.

Early this morning, we went out of New Mexico through the panhandle of Oklahoma, and we just passed the halfway mark in Kansas. The second half may be a little faster than the first, because there aren’t so many mountains. It’s pretty flat right now. This morning was beautiful with beautiful prairies and countryside, small roads, farms, and a whole lot of empty space.

We’re getting into busier areas, though as we head past Wichita, and the team is still looking strong.
