ST. PADDY'S PROGRAMMING: The H2O Winter Classic is set to air on Monday March 17th on Fox sports (3:30pm PST). Their email promises "highlights from the surf contest at the Huntington Beach Pier and the slope style snowboarding competition at Mountain High Resort on February 9th", plus other stuff.
FOX IN SOCKS: More PR from Fox, "David Sternberg became General Manager for the new action sports network that Fox will launch this summer. Sternberg, who retains his role as general manager of both Fox Sports World and Fox Sports en Espanol, will expand his responsibilities immediately, announced Tony Vinciquerra, president and CEO of Fox Networks Group." THESE GUYS CHECK THE SURF: Billabong USA Junior Pro at Sebastian Inlet is to be held Saturday March 15 to Sunday March 16, 2003. Some of the hottest junior surfers in the USA, including last year's event winner Che Stang, Hawaiian Daniel Jones, Californians Bud Frietas and Justin Wiegand, local favorite Eric Taylor, Jeremy and Caleb, Johnston, Ryan Briggs, Justin Jones and Sterling Spencer.The juniors receive a total of US $10,000 in prize money.
