Kelly may have won more titles than anyone ever, but would you watch his movie inspired by the book?

I think Captain Zero would be a cool film, but it's freakin' sad. I'd rank it in order of films that would be coolest to watch: Lisa Andersen - she's hot and her story is awesome, Cpt. Zero, Kelly - with Pam then Eddie and Micky can fight for 4th.

According to www.imdb.com this book is already being scripted into a movie.

I would preffer any movie where the main character is the actual surfer. I can tell you what I do not want to see: Leonardo Dicaprio playing Miki Dora. If it has to be done, lets choose someone who looks like him. Maybe give a nobody a chance. I have nothing against Leonardo (he may be a good person, I do not know him),but please lets keep it grassroots. The same with the Eddie movie. I mean, every other time I stand in the grocery line I see another super star kooking out in a place I could never afford to go. They can afford it, and they are free to do it. Is it the same for our cultural Icons though? Can they just bid for it? buy a ticket to Miki or Eddie land? They are free to try, but I think we, the community, have a right to say- "eh, thanks for trying out, but no thanks."
