Tom Curren Jumps Ahead In Lifetime Series Versus Mark Occhilupo

Tom Curren defeated Mark Occhilupo in inconsistent conditions at the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay in the first-ever Clash of the Icons.
With the win, Curren has jumped ahead in the lifetime series against Occhilupo; Curren now leads the series 9-8,
"Anytime, just to get out there and surf against one guy, is great," said Curren after his heat. When asked about a possible rematch before the semifinals Curren responded: "Maybe we should do a best five out of seven."
That sure sounds good to us.

Occy was a huge factor in the 80's/90's, but can not compare to Curren's dominance.
