BODY GLOVE SURF BOUT RETURNS TO LOWERS
Curran looks strong in early heats

April 20, 2004 -- The horn sounded on a Body Glove Surf Bout heat for the first time since 1998 this morning, and mixed in among a hungry field of early round competitors was the legendary Tom Curran. Curran surfed solidly despite windy conditions and mediocre swell to win both his heats. Also heading into tomorrow's round of 160 undefeated are Josh Kerr, Tyler Smith, Jason Shibata, Dave Pinto, and Chris Satterfield.
