1970 VW Van

If you were Baja bound in the '70's chances are you headed south of the border in a magic bus. The VW Van allowed surfers the option to live, surf or sleep in their version of the mobile home. It's cool ride even in today's world of overdrive and GPS dashboard assistance.
Honorable Mention: '64 VW Bug

1975 Toyota Land Cruiser

As surfers moved further afield they needed something tough enough to handle the road to Central America or a few laps through Western Australia. With a sturdy body and dependable engine the Land Cruiser was built to take you as far as your imagination could take you.
Honorable Mention: '68 Dodge Dart; Ford Econoline van

1980 Datsun mini pick up

Economy, utility and style: The small pick up truck offered a lot for very little. And these babies were versatile, whether it was a party tour in Town, a weekend landscaping job or four bruddahs in the back on a fishin' mission to Haliewa.
Honorable Mention: '75 VW Square Back

1985 Toyota 4-Runner

This vehicle was the predecessor to the modern day SUV. A 4WD wonder, you could drive straight from a muddy la punta to the country club and not miss a beat.
