SURFER: Was it hard out there?
Carissa: A little bit yeah, it was kinda hard to surf because I was kinda scared.
SURFER: Didn't you make it to the quarterfinals taking out Serena Brooke in the process?
Carissa: Me, not me. I'm totally innocent. I didn't do anything like that [batting her eyelashes].
SURFER: I don't know...
Carissa: Really, I'm a good girl. I love Serena, I wouldn't do that to my friend.
SURFER: What do you have coming up for the next year? You're in 6th grade and the world is in front of you.
Carissa: I'm gonna hang out and just surf and stuff. Why would I do anything else?
SURFER: Good point. Do you follow pro surfing? Who's your pick for the title, Kelly or Andy?
Carissa: I don't know-they're both good.
SURFER: If you could watch one surfer ride a perfect wave who would it be?
Carissa: Melanie Bartels or Mick Fanning...or Kelly Slater. But I wanna surf a perfect wave too.
SURFER: What's your idea of a perfect wave?
Carissa: About this big [holds her hand up to her shoulders], a right that's long and peelly so I can go swoooosh, swoooosh, swoooosh [making a top turn gesture with her hand].
SURFER: So, do you like surfing big waves?
Carissa: I don't like big waves. I like small waves because I'm small.
SURFER: What do you want the world to know about Carissa Moore and her surfing?
Carissa: Umm, we have a strong bond. We're like one and one [giggling].
SURFER: Is there anything else?
Carissa: Nope. This is Carissa Moore from Hawaii, we just ate lunch and had an interview. Thank you for coming, have a great day and that's a wrap. Bye bye.
