Bobby Martinez (Santa Barbara, CA, USA) fresh from his win at the Billabong Pro Tahiti proves his elimination to loosers round two was just a stumble by weaving his way through the left hand tubes of Tavarua during the Globe WCT Fiji. Martinez eliminated Toby Abberton (AUS) from the event. Abberton was the replacement for current and seven times world champion Kelly Slater who withdrew from the event due to an injury he sustained in Tahiti while executing a critical maneuver.
