It has always amazed me how Staters have the ability to declare some funny things. It should be clear (specially for surfers) that "leader of the free world" isn't quite appropiate statement since certainly the world doesn't end outside the US and I won't even try to go as far as what FREE implies.
Nevertheless I'd love to see the president of USA go surfing sometime, bet the Secret service can make room for him at let's say... crowded pipe with perfect 6ft.

if the potential leader of the free world doesn't push for offshore drilling we'll be bodysurfing too cause there won't be materials available or affordable to build boards . surf trips will constitute walking to the beach or taking a boat , oops sailboat will be how you make your next trip to hawaii. the united nations will control our country . board fees at the airport will be higher than delta is charging . wax will get high dollar too cause parafin is a petroleum product . and please keep the stars and stripes on the flag where they belong . i'll take a plain clear board thank you . however i grant you i have a soft place in my heart for pintails , they change directions better . surf smoother and frankly squash and squaretails just don't work for me .

hey pete i work in the oilfield on a drilling rig . been in the patch for probably longer than you've been surfing . where did the petroleum come from on the buttplug longboard you probably ride . did you know that epoxy is also a petroleum product . how about the electricity that powers your home ? or do you live under a bridge some where ? how do you get to work ? did you know that fuel prices ars starting to go down . i only pay about 3.76 a gallon right now for gsa . market speculation is the main reason fuel is as esxpensive as it is . believe me i see how much can come out of the ground on a single hole . 3D geo surveys have the succes rate on most exploratoy directional drilling at about 90% . environmental standards are so high now compared to 20 years ago most people would be amazed . the king ranch in south texas is ultra environmentally conscious . i shape glass and laminate my own boards am experimenting with recycled balsa from ww2 liferafts from liberty ships that are being scrapped .

just to set the record straight to pete i just bar b que d a dolphin for dinner thursday night . delicious (mahi mahi) we caught about 48 the other day when we went offshore fishing (trolling ) for marlin around drilling rigs . it seems that offshore platforms and drilling rigs create excellent habit for all species of reef fish and also attract pelagic species too . we also caught ling , wahoo and yellowfin tuna . in texas we don't eat or kill porpoise though . too oily and they're cool when they come check us out while we're surfing have you ever shared a wave with one . i did get some cool video of a pod with babies that were hanging around a shrimpboat while they culled their catch . i don't whatch fox cause i don't have cable cause most tv is poo . obviously you you do cause you've shown how ignorant you are . maybe we can hook up in mexico at escondido ,zihuatenego , nexpa , pascuales , the ranch where they had that secret quicksilver contest or somewhere like that and we can se

we can see what your made of . see with my oilfield job i can afford to travel when i want . mostly mex because growing up 15 miles from the border with mexico allowed me to learn spanish growing up and there are some really good people there .preety country and uncrowded waves off the beaten path . i have no desire to go to california or hawaii . pete , frankly after all my blustery diatribe you are nothing more than a wormy little hypocrite . probably without a job . if you would like we can start a collection to send you some cardboard so you can make some improvements to you home under that bridge where you live . shoot maybe you can build a condo . get a life . let us know where to send the cardboard .
