Sacrifice quality for solitude. Every surfer needs to know what it’s like to spend an entire session with no other surfers in sight.
36. COME TO THE RESCUE
Bail your buddy out of that Tijuana jail. Feed a stranger’s meter. Save a board from the rocks. Pull a tourist from a rip. It’ll make you feel less guilty about the sport’s selfish underbelly.
37. PAY A BRIBE
If you’re doing things right, you’ll eventually end up in a jam. Whether it’s a federale or a greedy baggage-handler, don’t be afraid to buy your way out of it.
