Luke Davis is the skinny kid you see sitting on the inside reform when you’re paddling back out after a wave. Then he takes off, blows the crap out of it as if he were Tom Curren reborn, and your jaw drops. An incredibly eye-catching regularfooter who happens to credit Curren as one of his favorite surfers, Davis rolls with a talented San Clemente crew, including Kolohe Andino, Riley Metcalf, and Tanner Rozuko [GUDAUSKAS?]. Currently splitting time between NSSA contests and filming for Brian Jennings’s (Noah’s Arc, The Outsiders) forthcoming film, Davis comes from a super-supportive family who seems to definitely help temper the pressure. The last year has seen him journey through South Africa, Fiji, Indo, Oz, and, of course, all over the West Coast. Citing Rincon as one of his favorite breaks, as well as coming from good Christian stock and exhibiting an early penchant for travel, the similarities between Tom Curren and Luke Davis are eerie.
