Another up-and-comer from the Sunshine Coast, Mitch Coleburn is the power broker in the area. Most pundits are comparing his strong, under-the-hook approach to a young Occy. “Coleborn's powerful without even trying,� describes Dean Brady. “Whenever he does a turn, whether its one-foot or six, he throws more water then anyone his age. At the same time, his airs are sick too. I've seen him land some crazy shit. But he's also got the elements of a true power surfer.� In an effort to build up his international profile, as of late Coleborn has been spending more and more time outside of Oz. And with a successful stint in the States last summer, as well as the obligatory boat trips, it's starting to appear that this goofy-footer has all the right moves.
